Wildfire, wildfire

My, how you’ve spread

From thawing my heart

To burning my head

You moved so quickly

I failed to see

You were slowly

Consuming me

First a small flame

Only to keep warm

But you spread through my forest

And I’m praying for storms

To douse the ashes

With pouring rain

Put out the fire

Let me freeze again
