You make my heartbeat skip
Like playing jump rope in the streets
And I laugh just as hard with you
As I did when we would sing
Those silly playground rhymes
About the valley and Mary Mack
You brought out the child-like joy
I thought was never coming back
We take on life together
Like children walking through puddles
We can’t help but to splash around
And forget adulthood troubles
