My Morning Tantrums

Most mornings I feel like a completely different person

Opening my eyelids is like yanking back the curtains

And letting sunshine pour directly on the face of a sleeping toddler

My mind will moan and argue to rest longer

Throw a fit when I demand to start the day

And of course small mishaps

Scrambling to put on an outfit

Searching for lost keys

Forgetting my coffee on the table

Scrapping ice off my windshield

Make my head pound

While its tantrum is had within my skull

The worst ones take place in silence as the mind freaks out. Love this take on the prompt!
